1053. Mahakala in Yab-Yum
Tibet. Feuervergoldete Bronze. Der sechsarmige und dreiköpfige Mahakala steht in pratyalidhasana. Seine flammenden Haare sind umgeben von einer Schädelkrone, der Hals von einer Schädelkette, die fast bis zum Boden reicht. Die Hauptarme, mit denen er seine weibliche Entsprechung umschliesst, halten in den Händen Kapala und Hackmeser. In den anderen Händen befinden sich das Schwert (khadga), der Lotos (padma) und der Wunschjuwel (chintamani). Der Oberkörper seiner Konsorte ist separat gefertigt. Sockel abnehmbar. Boden verschlossen und graviert mit Doppel-Vajra. Alte Reparaturstellen auf dem Sockel. H 12,5 cm.
