2315. Louis Vuitton, "Malle Courrier"
Grosser Überseekoffer aus Monogram Canvas. Mittig mit grün-weiss-grünen Streifen bemalt. Seitliche Ledertragegriffe. S-Schloss (ohne Schlüssel) und zwei Schnappverschlüsse aus Messing. Innen mit weisser Baumwolle verkleidet. Zwei herausnehmbare Holzfächer. Auf Herstellersignet nummeriert und bezeichnet: "Louis Vuitton 843347 / Paris 70 Champs-Elysées / 149 New-Bond St. London / Nice / Cannes / Vichy". 110x57x56 cm. Sehr guter Zustand. Minimale Gebrauchsspuren. Innen einige Flecken.
Die den Deckel verzierende grün-weiss-grünen Streifen weisen auf eine spezielle Anfertigung hin. Der hier angebotene Überseekoffer verfügt über eine fürstliche Provenienz: Er war im Besitz der Prinzessin Fawzia (1940-2005), Tochter von König Faruq I. von Ägypten und Königin Farida. Durch den von Nasser geleiteten Militärputsch von 1952, wurde die königliche Familie nach Italien ins Exil gezwungen. Die drei Töchter des Königs wurden in ein Schweizer Internat geschickt. Prinzessin Fawzia liess sich später in Lausanne nieder und besuchte regelmässig das Grand Hotel Dolder in Zürich.
