Tibet, 18./19.Jh. Bronze, feuervergoldet. Der historische Buddha sitzt auf einem doppelten Lotussockel. Sein Gesicht wirkt elegant und ruhig, mit halbgeschlossenen Augen, in einem Moment kurz vor seiner Erleuchtung. Die rechte Hand zeigt das varada-Mudra der Wunschgewährung, die linke hält in seinem Schoss eine Flasche. Boden verschlossen, mit Vajra. H 22 cm.
